MCD in Schools

Cheerleading and Dance is a great benefit to children as it supports the National Curriculum and boost students’ self-esteem and fitness while  supporting children with their social skills but most importantly, children have fun.  Dance in the curriculum provides a broad and balanced curriculum for all combining physical literacy, creativity and developing self- knowledge. MCD are flexible and can adapt to what suits your school requirements.

Our classes are closely linked to the National Curriculum.

KS1- Children will learn to:

  • Develop balance, agility and co-ordination and begin to apply these in a range of activities.

  • Perform dances using simple movements.

KS2- Children will learn to:

  • Develop flexibility, strength, technique, control and balance.

  • Perform dances using a range of movement patterns.

  • Compare their performances with previous ones and demonstrate improvement to achieve their personal best.

At Maw Cheer Dance we offer after school clubs, breakfast or lunch clubs, workshops and PPA cover. Additionally, when students attend our clubs/workshops we can work on a dance performance for school shows, Christmas and summer fetes and sports days as we understand the importance for students to perform and work towards an end goal.

MCD will promote the club by doing assemblies which have proved in the past to be very successful and the children really enjoy it.

We would like to be able to offer more clubs to children so if you know a school that would be interested in MCD please contact us!
